The above ten digits are used to make up figures in most part of the world.
During my undergraduate days, I was taught error in age data — one of which is digit preference. It is important to note that most persons have preference for terminal digits ie numbers ending with 0&5, or even numbers(2,4…)
For example, a person who is 49years might report his/her age as 50

This preference is not just for age data.
It has become a norm and our state of mind. Have you ever wondered why:
¶You celebrate 500 connections and not 523 connections?
¶You are offered/requested a salary of 120k and not #117,455?
¶You are anxiously waiting to celebrate your 50th birthday in a grand style and not the 51st?
This same state of mind is not only seen in our personal life but also in the business world. That’s why:
¶Business prefer to offer 10% discount and not 9.1percent
¶And so on

I still wonder the rationale behind all these though.

However, this preference has caused major discrepancies in the ACTUAL and REPORTED data of many hashtag#business organizations.

A hashtag#data might be tweaked if what you find is preference numbers(0 & 5) and it is often misleading.
Data users should probe further to be sure such data has not been manipulated.
